(our state fair is great)
It's dollars to doughnuts at our state fair
It's the best state fair in the state
OUR STATE FAIR IS A GREAT STATE FAIR IS A GREAT IS A GREAT IS A GREAT STATE FAIR Our State Fair is a great state fair
Don't Miss it don't even be late
(state fair is great)
It's dollars to doughnuts at our state fair
It's the best state fair.. in our state
I think this is a very easy lesson. There is very little new vocabulary and he explains most of the new words in the program. The two topics, or subjects, or themes for this episode are states fairs and the man who created the comic book Spiderman. We still have state fairs in the United States, at least I think we still have them. I haven’t been to a state fair since I was about nine years old. I have never read a Spiderman comic book.
Vocabulary:
Livestock – ganado
Ribbon – lazo, cinta
Pie – tarta
Roller coaster – montaña rusa
Ferris Wheel - noria
Merry-go-round – tiovivo, caballitos
Verbs:
To display – Inform visualizar
2   mostrar
     (mercancías) exponer
(emociones) manifestar: he didn't ever display his emotions, nunca manifestaba sus emociones
To Entertain – entretener
To bloom - florecer

ESL Café

English as a Second Language Café Podcasts

We believe the fastest way to improve your English is to listen to conversations and discussions you can understand. Many people try to improve their English by  listening or reading things that are too difficult. They understand only 40-50%, which means they are wasting half of their time! At ESL Podcast, we provide English at a slower speed and use everyday phrases and expressions. We explain what these expressions mean and how to use them. That’s all! It’s simple, it’s obvious, and it’s very powerful.
